The Compassion Project
A sister group of The Contemplative Way, The Compassion Project is an organization whose purpose is two-fold. Many individuals are working hard at recovering from drug or alcohol addiction, divorce, illness or injury. These life-altering challenges can leave one feeling isolated, unproductive and disconnected with life. We have learned that creative expression is healing.
The Compassion Project helps people in recovery by giving them a purpose to reconnect to their artistry, gifts and talents by helping us develop products that display their creative expression and input. They are compensated for their work and receive a portion of the profits to help sustain their recovering lifestyle. We have seen that when people connect with their dreams and are given an outlet for their talents they are energized and encouraged to continue on their journey of healing and transformation.
The Compassion Project is also dedicated to spreading the urgent message of drug prevention to young people. Through ‘power of the story’ presentations offered to schools, the organization will have recovering individuals tell their stories. These true life stories will help empower the younger generation turn away from drug and alcohol use.
