Maria Gullo, Director
Whether peaceful and confident or weary and broken, Maria has personally experienced contemplative prayer as a means of healing and transformation with centering prayer in particular being the threshold for receiving and accepting God’s grace, mercy, forgiveness and love. Maria longs to share this ‘prayer of faith and love’ with others yearning for a deeper relationship with God. Many people of faith throughout the ages experienced centering prayer and other forms of contemplative prayer as an invaluable and essential means toward authentic transformation.
As Christians, we are destined to live out of our broken human condition unless we wake up on the inside and rise above it. However, we awaken and rise above it not by our own design, but rather through a gentle surrendering to the indwelling presence of God…in all circumstances… at all times. As we surrender to God in centering prayer the Holy Spirit prepares the ‘ground of our being’ for the transforming Action and Presence of God in all of life as evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit.
Maria earned her master’s degree in pastoral care and counseling with an emphasis in spiritual direction from Neumann College in Aston, Pennsylvania. She is a single mom, business owner and spiritual director residing in New Jersey.
